I'll 'Tweet' you, Mr. Glass

Hello!  Welcome to SocMedEd, Social Media in Education.  My name is Rick Glass.  I am a fourth grade teacher who works hard to ensure students learning.  Technology integration plays an important role in teaching and learning in my  classroom.  An important part of that integration is the use of various social media applications.

While social media is embedding itself deeply into fabric of our society, rich and biased discussions of its applications are on the agendas of school boards across our country.  It is my intent to bring many of these discussions to this blog.  Here, I invite you to blend your opinions and experiences with my own.  Though we may not always find agreement, it is my strong hope that our students will find greater success from our efforts.
